Embark on a thrilling 5-day safari through Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara, Kenya’s top wildlife destinations. Encounter diverse wildlife, behold breathtaking landscapes, and witness the incredible wildebeest migration.
Day-by-Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi and Transfer to Lake Nakuru
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, where you’ll be greeted by your guide. Begin your safari adventure with a drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its abundant birdlife and rhino conservation efforts. Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge, spotting animals along the way. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive in search of rhinos, lions, giraffes and the famous flocks of flamingos that adorn the lake’s shores. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park
Spend the whole day exploring Lake Nakuru National Park. Rise early for a game drive in search of elusive predators and other wildlife. Marvel at the park’s beautiful landscapes, with the lake acting as a backdrop to incredible wildlife sightings. Enjoy picnics in picturesque spots and continue game drives until late afternoon. As the sun sets, head back to your lodge for dinner and relaxation amidst the serene surroundings.
Day 3-4: Maasai Mara National Reserve
Depart Lake Nakuru and head towards Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s premier safari destinations. Spend two full days exploring the Mara, embarking on thrilling game drives to witness the spectacular wildebeest migration (seasonal), big cats, elephants, and a myriad of other wildlife species. Immerse yourself in the iconic savannah landscapes and experience the rich culture of the Maasai community through a village visit. Overnight stays will be in a comfortable lodge or tented camp in the reserve.
Day 5: Maasai Mara to Nairobi
Wake up to your final Maasai Mara sunrise and savor a leisurely breakfast. Depart the reserve with a game drive en route to Nairobi. By midday, arrive in Nairobi and have the option to visit local markets for souvenir shopping or explore the bustling city (depending on your flight departure time). Finally, you’ll be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey or to your selected hotel in Nairobi.

- Transport whilst on safari in a 4×4 safari Land cruiser with pop-up roof for game viewing.
